Kristin specializes in counselling children, teens and families dealing with anxiety-based symptoms. Presenting issues might include: anxiety and/or depression, low self-esteem, persistent worry, school struggles, sleep troubles, addictions, disordered eating, perfectionism, self-harm, relational issues, trauma, grief and loss.
Parents are an important part of treatment and welcomed in the process. Counselling fees are covered by most health care plans. Sliding scale fees are also available. Contact Kristin directly for a free consultation and/or to book a session.
Art therapy uses the creative process to regulate the nervous system, digest traumatic experiences, build strong relational connections, and awaken our innate ability to heal and create. It is a valuable tool for kids who are creatively inclined, for teens who are averse to a ‘traditional therapy’ approach and for people looking for an alternative to talk therapy. Art therapy is a wonderful place to practice self-care and gain personal insight. The studio environment is warm and welcoming, and provides a unique creative space to do important healing work.
